Mark & Brian Christmas show headliner...UGH!!!
Paul Rodgers, Steve Lukather, Joe Perry, John Waite, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, Peter Frampton...all of their careers began in the 60s or 70s, except for Jason Bonham. The Fab Four - The Ultimate Tribute as the headliner was a huge mistake. A lot of the crowd, including my wife & I, were rushing to the exit after just his second song, which happened to be one of his bigger hits, Dancin' With Myself. Heart & Foreigner, last year's headliners, were much more compatible with the opening performers & most everyone stayed until the last note was played. Mark & Brian made a comment that there were about 1000 unsold tickets until they announced that they booked a commedian, whose name I don't recall, & that he was the reason for the sell out. I doubt it. Whoever thought of having such a complete opposite type of music to close the show, had better look for someone to better compliment the acts that open next year's show. The station probably gave away tickets every chance they had, which they wouldn't have had to do if they had booked a strong headliner.
